George Murray

President

George Murray serves in a variety of advisory and training roles at SPCi.  His 24 years of experience as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is an invaluable asset to SPCi.  His experience includes white-collar crime investigations, undercover operations, supervision of the Metro Atlanta Robbery Team (MARS), and service as a SWAT team member.

After retiring from the FBI, George worked for Georgia Pacific as a Corporate Security Investigations Manager and with a major Atlanta law firm as the firm’s designated investigator.

George is also proud of his service to the United States Army as a helicopter pilot.

Walt Murray

Vice-President, Client Relations

Vice President of Client Relationships, Walt Murray consults with our clients on issues involving fraud detection, prevention, and investigations, and he works to ensure the complete satisfaction of each SPCi client on every case.

Walt Murray’s security and investigative expertise includes Loss Prevention/Corporate Security Agent with United Parcel Service, Private Investigator, and Account Manager.  In addition, Walt worked for IBM for 10 years as a Customer Account Administrator and Marketing Support Administrator.

Jeff Merry

Vice-President, Operations

Jeff Merry, Director of Operations for SPCi, is the former lead white collar and fraud investigator for a local law enforcement agency.  He has conducted thousands of fraud and fraud related cases, including, Identity Theft, Financial Transaction Card Fraud (credit/debit cards), Check Forgery, Counterfeit Financial Instruments (checks, money orders, and currency), Internet Fraud, Email Fraud, Embezzlement, Mail Theft, and other fraud schemes.  As a white-collar investigator, Jeff Merry produced several victim and prevention guides to assist persons in preventing identity theft and clearing their name after becoming a victim.

He is a member of several law enforcement service organizations, including the National White Collar Crime Center, Georgia Bankers Associations FinCrime Network, and the North Georgia Law Enforcement and Securities Network, which he co-founded in 2005.
Jeff is an adjunct instructor at NGTC.  He teaches such subjects as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Corrections, and Introduction to Law Enforcement.

He has a Master in Public Administration with a concentration in criminal justice from North Georgia College and State University.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Valdosta State University in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Jon Crosby, CFE, FCLS

Assistant Director of Operations

Jon Crosby has more than 35 years experience in investigations, training, and management in the public and private sectors.  During his career, Jon served as Director of Florida's Division of Insurance Fraud, Assistant Director of Consumer Services for the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, Chief of Compliance for the Florida Department of Insurance, Criminal Investigator for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office and as a Police Officer and Investigator for the Coral Gables Police Department.  Jon also served as a Senior Special Investigator, Claims Verification Supervisor, and claims adjuster with Nationwide Insurance Company and with its subsidiary, Colonial Insurance Company of California.

For the past seven years, Jon has been a licensed private investigator specializing in handling insurance, corporate, and legal investigations.  He has also served as a security supervisor and Security Training Manager at the Atlanta Galleria.
Jon holds a Master of Science in Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Miami.

He holds the designations Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS).

Dave Brier

Vice President, Florida Operations

Dave Brier has more than 15 years experience managing and conducting complex civil and criminal investigations throughout the southeastern United States.
He holds investigative licenses in multiple states and has served as an investigative trainer in several jurisdictions. 

Dave is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (BA in Legal Studies, 1992) and he has completed numerous continuing education programs on investigations sponsored by prominent professional associations such as FALI, PIAF, NALI and BSI.  He also holds an Associate in Arts Degree from Valencia Community College with emphasis on Criminal Justice.

George Tatro

Vice President, Finance and Accounting

George Tatro is a member of SPCi’s Board of Directors and is one of the company founders.  George has 15 years experience as a business owner and manager in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is the current President of the Chamblee-Doraville Apartment Managers Association and served five years on the City of Chamblee's Citizen Review Board as the representative for the International Village.  He is fluent in Spanish.  He holds a first-degree black belt in judo and is working on a Master of Divinity degree at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Claude Tatro

Chief Executive Officer

Claude Tatro is the CEO and Chairman of SPCi. His business acumen has enabled consistent client satisfaction, institutional stability, marketplace flexibility, and continued growth.

Claude attended The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida and is a graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from Mercer University. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1963.

Dick Theriault

Senior Investigative Consultant

Dick is a former private investigator and training instructor for PI Profilein Illinois (1982) and was the Director of Investigations for ARKO ExecutiveServices, an International Security, and Investigation Company, in Atlanta,Georgia. He has Security and Military Police background in the MarineCorps, and served as a classroom and firearms instructor for the State of Georgia, and worked closely with law enforcement in Maine, New York, and Illinois. He worked with the US Security Associates as the Director of Investigations. He is also a Member of ASIS and the American Federation of Police. Dick assists with cases nationwide for major clients.
